Garudachal Vidyapeeth, Belbari

GARUDACHAL VIDYAPEETH, BELBARI is a Co-education and Semi-Residential school at Belbari Village in Betasing Block (South West Garo Hills) Meghalaya, 35 k.m. away from Head Quarter Tura, 8k.m. from Manakachar, Assam as well as Bangladesh border.

The Nokma (Headman of the village) Late Bisheswar Koch donated 40 bighas of Land for the school. The school started functioning from the 8th March, 1993 with classes LKG and UKG, Now It is a full fledged high school. 238 students from different tribal communities are studying in the Vidyapeeth; 45(Boys & Girls) of  them are residing in the hostel. The institution with an ideal campus fulfils the needs of the pupils from more than 60 villages.

The main objectives of the institution is to impart the education based on Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan system of education. It encourages students to preserve their healthy traditions and culture. The institution under the Meghalaya Board of School Education has adopted English as the medium of  instruction with emphasis on Hindi and Sanskrit.
